The holiday season is my favorite time of year. I enjoy decorating the tree, baking cookies, and watching Christmas movies. Now that I’m an adult, I don’t have the same enthusiasm about the holidays anymore. I no longer care about how many gifts are under the tree on Christmas morning. I don’t make a list to send to the North Pole. I am happiest when I watch Christmas movies or have a meal with my family.
I have so many wonderful memories of the holidays during my childhood. My parents always made the holiday season special. Home videos show how exciting Christmas morning was. I received a toy cash register when I was three and a book about Elmo. I couldn’t wait to read it. When my sister was little, I enjoyed helping her open gifts.
I love picking out gifts for my family and friends. It brings me great joy to know that people enjoy what I buy for them. Every year I love finding fun and unique gifts. As long as people are happy with my Christmas gifts, it is a great Christmas.
Seeing family is my favorite part of the holiday season. A couple of weeks ago, I attended my family’s annual Christmas party. I brought Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer cookies, which were a hit. Every year, I enjoy making a dessert to bring.
The best Christmas gifts don’t come from a store. The greatest blessings in my life are my family and friends. Words can’t express how much their love and support mean to me.
Happy Holidays To You And Yours,
Grace Dow
