To My Sister On Her Graduation Day:

Congratulations to the class of 2022! I am so proud of all of the incredible graduates. Today my younger sister graduates from high school. I am so proud of her, and I can’t wait to see what her future holds.

Dear Olivia,

The last 18 years flew by. I blinked, and suddenly, it was June 3, 2022. I remember when I met you for the first time, it feels like yesterday I held you in my arms, and sang you the ABCs. You were so small. I’ve watched you grow up for 18 years.

Being your older sister has been such a blessing. I loved watching you play sports. Watching your sporting events was always a pleasure. I loved watching you play with such passion, and joy. There’s nothing I love more than supporting you. It is one of my favorite things about being an older sister. I wouldn’t trade the days at the softball field or in the gym for anything. I always loved watching you.

I have been there through it all. I’ve seen you take your first steps, get your driver’s license, and everything in between. You’ve always had such a strong spirit, and I admire how outgoing you are. You make me laugh, and we’ve made a lifetime of memories together.

No matter where life will lead us, know I will always be your sister. Nothing will ever change that, and I am blessed to have you in my life. You have enriched my life in more ways than I ever thought possible.

You can rest assured that I’ll always be there for you. It’s been a true honor to love you. It’s an honor to have a sister like you, and I’ll be forever thankful. Not only to you, but also to our parents, I will always be grateful. You would not be in my life if it weren’t for them. I am an older sister as a result of their decision to adopt a second child. I am grateful that they made that decision.

I can’t wait to see you get your diploma tonight. Enjoy the moment as you walk across the stage, be proud of everything you’ve accomplished, the goals you’ve achieved, and the friends you’ve made, and prepare for the next adventure in your life. The world is waiting for you Olivia!

Love you always and forever,

Grace
